PLO Directive to Media: Do Not Use Term "Temple Mount" (CAMERA) For years now, Palestinians and Muslims have been attempting to erase the perception among the public of the profound Jewish ties to the Temple Mount and to Jerusalem. Their latest attempt involves a directive from the PLO National Affairs Department to journalists directing all international media to desist from using the term "Temple Mount" and replace it instead with the term "Al Aqsa Compound."
Why Abbas Will Not Condemn Terror Attacks - Khaled Abu Toameh (Gatestone Institute) What Kerry and other Western leaders do not want to understand is that Abbas is not authorized to make any concessions for peace with Israel, and has even repeatedly promised his people that he would not make any concessions. By refusing to denounce the attacks, and even praising the perpetrators as heroes and martyrs, Abbas is indicating his tacit approval of the violence, such as the stabbing murder of a 26-year-old woman or ramming a car into a three-month-old infant. Abbas knows very well that the people he has radicalized would turn against him if he dared to speak out against the killing of Jews.

Egypt
Sinai: Terrorist Presence Becomes Full-Fledged Insurgency - Abdallah Schleifer (Al-Arabiya) Sinai is now home to a full-fledged insurgency, in all likelihood operating from bases in Gaza close to the border with Egypt, and staffed increasingly by Egyptians and Gazans who are believed to have traveled to Syria and Iraq and have now returned. The threat of a Hamas-tolerated or clandestinely-aided jihadist insurgency based in Gaza and raiding the Sinai would be cause for the Egyptian military to enter Gaza and destroy the insurgency.

Palestinians: Stop the Children's Intifada - Khaled Abu Toameh (Gatestone Institute) Hamas, Fatah and other Palestinian groups are using children from east Jerusalem and the West Bank in what appears to be a new intifada against Israel. Human rights groups and UN institutions have chosen to turn a blind eye to the exploitation of children in the fight against Israel. These children are victims of a campaign of indoctrination and incitement being waged by Hamas and Fatah. There are also reports that Fatah and Hamas activists in Jerusalem have been paying children to throw stones and firebombs at Israelis. The time has come for the international community and media to demand that Palestinian groups stop hiding behind children.

U.S. Policy, Viewed from the Middle East - Elliott Abrams (Council on Foreign RelationsDuring some recent travel to the Middle East, I've heard the same views from Arab and Israeli leaders: the Obama administration has drawn Israel and the Arabs closer together.
