Accurate but irresponsibly misleading Washington Post headline: "Russian and Israeli planes hit Syria in separate strikes, kill at least 10", the conflation of the two actions was irresponsibly misleading. Russia and Iran are allied in supporting Bashir Assad's brutal regime in Syria, which has used chemical weapons against its own people and is still trying to destroy Israel, while Israel was attacking chemical weapons facilities in Syria's capital, preventing their use both against Israeli and Syrian civilians. Reporting on the actions together, particularly the way they were joined in the same headline, created the blatantly false impression that there was coordination between Russia and Israel. Israeli strikes killed several soldiers. Buried later in the story we learn, Russian airstrikes killed seven civilians.
