This week we Remember Pearl Harbor and Chanukah begins.
Usually around this time of year we see lots of Chanukah and Christmas decoration, but this year communities are pulling the Chanukah decorations. A London community canceled their annual menorah lighting in front of the local town hall, claiming it risked "inflaming tensions." They reversed their position after people pointed out that Jews existing as Jews isn't what causes tensions - people hating Jews does that. (from Yair Rosenberg). A festival in VA was cancelled because of fear celebrating Chanukah would imply support for war in Gaza.

On Ivy League campuses today, if you cried out “All blacks must die,” you'd be suspended & canceled. If you cried out “All LGBTQ people must die,” you'd be suspended & canceled. If you cried out “All Jews must die,” the university presidents will need to know about the context. - Hillel Neuer
