House of Representatives Approves Resolution Condemning Hamas by 412 to 10 - (JTA) In its first action under its new speaker... approved 412-10, with another six members voting present.  H.Res 771, Resolution Standing with Israel as it defends itself against the barbaric war launched by Hamas and other terrorists. The bipartisan resolution was put forward by Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) and Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY).

Voting present were Pramila Jayapal of Washington, Joaquin Castro of Texas, Nydia Velázquez of New York, Greg Casar of Texas, and Chuy Garcia of Illinois.  Ayanna Pressley, a Massachusetts Democrat who did not co-sponsor the resolution.

Voting against were Thomas Massie of Kentucky, a Republican, and nine Democrats: Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Jamaal Bowman of New York, Cori Bush of Missouri, Al Green of Texas, Summer Lee of Pennsylvania, Andre Carson of Indiana and Delia Ramirez of Illinois.

When someone says they support the Palestinian "resistance", please refer to Hamas' foundational charter. We all know Article 7 talks about destroying Israel. See Article six  where it specifically mentions the goal of coexistence: "The Islamic Resistance Movement is a distinguished Palestinian movement, whose allegiance is to Allah, and whose way of life is Islam. It strives to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine, for under the wing of Islam followers of all religions can coexist in security and safety where their lives, possessions and rights are concerned. In the absence of Islam, strife will be rife, oppression spreads, evil prevails and schisms and wars will break out." The goal of Hamas and its supporters is not a two state solution but one state ruled under shariah law where non-Muslims can live as second class citizens as dhimmis, paying a special jizya tax for having the privilege to live "under the wing of Islam." It's called Jihadi Coexistence, and is actively being marketed - and showcased - by radical socialists and Islamists.
