Hoping for peace and wishing you a happy and healthy New Year!

For the fifth night in the last eight days, millions of Israelis awoke in the middle of the night to air raid sirens as Iran-backed Houthi terrorists launched ballistic missiles at central Israel. The U.S. Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) air defense system, and Israel's Arrow long-range anti-missile system, worked to track the incoming missile and shoot it down outside of Israeli airspace.

Hostages Update: Negotiations Continue as Hamas Reveals Hostages’ Signs of Life  White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said there were no updates on ongoing hostage-ceasefire talks and insisted that Hamas remains the obstacle to a deal.

UN statements that refer to “armed groups” but never condemn them
NYTimes and AP "report" that “Israeli Military Forces Patients and Staff to Leave Hospital in Northern Gaza.” rather than safely evacuates patients and staff being used as shields for terrorists. Another states “Israel Bombs Yemeni Ports" without mentioning this was a response to attacks upon Israel (or even international shipping). The fact that if Israel had not intercepted these missiles, there would have been massive casualties is not mentioned.

Summary: 

1. A new report exposes how Hamas inflates Gaza’s death toll. This is important as over 80% of media rely on and have been repeating unverified numbers from Hamas-run sources, creating a distorted narrative.
2. There is lots of chatter about reaching a deal on release of the hostages; skeptics believe Hamas will never release all the hostages. 
3. While the Palestinian Authority, Hamas, and PIJ are fighting near Jenin, the PA is still paying arrested Hamas terrorists as a reward for their crimes and official PA channels laud events of 10/7, yet the US govt has asked Israel to arm the PA! 
4. Human Rights Watch is releasing a report critical of Israel (NGO Monitor has an analysis). 
5. MEMRI has a new report warning the US on Qatar. 
6. Turkey is now directly threatening the sovereignty of Israel’s capital, hosting Hamas leadership, threatening US allies in Syria, occupying 15% of Syria, and is somehow a member of NATO.
