This and every Memorial Day we honor the men and women of the United States who died in the pursuit of freedom and peace. Hope you have a great long weekend.

Day 231 Hostages Update:
EmojiThe bodies of the 4 hostages rescued last week (Yitzhak Gelernter, Shani Louk, Amit Buskila, and Ron Benjamin/Binyaminwere recovered from a tunnel in Rafah. The tunnel entrance was found under a rug in a Gazan home and ran under an UNRWA building.
EmojiThe bodies of Hanan Yablonka, Michel Nisenbaum, and Orion Hernandez Radoux were rescued from Gaza. Hamas murdered them on 10/7 and took their bodies back to Gaza.
EmojiHamas Terrorists Admits to Raping Girl Before Murdering Her On Thursday, The Daily Mail published footage of a terrorist who participated in the October 7 massacre describing how he, his cousin, and his father all raped a young girl at Kibbutz Nir Oz before his father  murdered her.
EmojiIsrael released horrific new video footage taken from Hamas body cameras on October 7, documenting the barbaric kidnapping of five young Israeli women: Liri Albag, Karina Ariev, Agam Berger, Daniela Gilboa and Naama Levy. They cut out the 17 dead women surrounding them. The clip shows a terrorist saying, "Here, these are the girls who can get pregnant." 231 days after the footage was taken and the women brutally kidnapped to Gaza, all five women are still held hostage by Hamas

Nova Exhibit on Wall St. has been extended to June 16. It reminded me of the 9/11 Museum in that it showed you the horror of the event, and yet it focused on the survivors and their resilience. I recommend it.  https://www.nova0629exhibition.com/

The International Court of Justice  did not "order" Israel to end the Rafah operation. Four ICJ judges have made clear the Rafah clause does NOT mean Israel must halt military action in Rafah. Israel can do so as long as it does not commit genocide, which Israel already agrees to and the court has not ruled on. Once again, the only judge, besides Israel’s judge, to oppose the ICJ resolutions is the brilliant Judge Sebutinde, who is the first female African judge to ever sit at the ICJ.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) is in the news this week because they issued their first condemnation of Hamas since 10/7! They announced they are seeking to issue arrest warrants against Sinwar and Netanyahu on Amanpour/CNN not through official channels.

At the time I writing this, the USUK, and Italy have condemned the ICC warrant application for Israeli leaders.

Oddities in the ICC indictment noted by Oren Kessler
EmojiReferring to the “territory of Israel and the State of Palestine,” as if the latter and not the former were the widely recognized UN member state
EmojiAnother oddity is that the warrant is titled, “Applications for arrest warrants in the situation in the State of Palestine,” even though its first half is all about Hamas crimes committed in Israel.
EmojiAmal Clooney, wife of George Clooney, was one of the lawyers who advised the ICC on issuing an arrest warrant for Netanyahu
EmojiICC prosecutors ignored the fact that Israel never signed the Treaty of Rome and thus does not fall under the jurisdiction of the ICC

EGYPT

IRAN
EmojiUS Deputy Ambassador to UN stands for moment of silence in honour of "Butcher of Tehran" who called for "death to America"; While the EU, UN, U.S. and NATO sent condolences for the Butcher of Tehran, Lithuania's Foreign Minister had the courage to refuse to mourn a mass murderer.

ON CAMPUS

EmojiChancellor Block (along with the presidents of Northwestern and Rutgers) testify at US House Education Committee Hearing on Campus Protests titled 'Calling for Accountability: Stopping Antisemitic College Chaos.' https://youtube.com/live/G9MuroSVFTo?feature=shared Asked: Is physically blocking students from entering your campus based on their race, religion or ethnicity an expellable offence? Block answers: It could be.

At Harvard
EmojiThe Harvard Corporation has rejected the faculty attempt to allow sanctioned student protestors to graduate.
EmojiLouis D. Brandeis Center files lawsuit against Harvard. Crux of claim: "When Harvard is presented with incontrovertible evidence of anti-Semitic conduct, it ignores and tolerates it. Harvard’s permissive posture towards anti-Semitism is the opposite of its aggressive enforcement of the same anti-bullying and anti-discrimination policies to protect other minorities."

Lawrence Technological University in Southfield Michigan kicked Noam Nedivi, an Israeli student, off the soccer team after reporting a roommate for antisemitic harassment and physical abuse.

Day 222 Hostages Update: IDF Says Hostages Are in Rafah
Since that announcement four days ago, the bodies of 4 hostages have been rescued from Gaza: Shani Louk, Amit Buskila, Ron Benjamin, and Yitzhak Gelernter. All were murdered by Hamas terrorists on October 7 and their bodies then abducted by Hamas and taken to Gaza.  Until now, Amit and Yitzhak were believed to be alive.

BELGIUM
The Embassy of Belgium stated it is horrified by the brutal attack on Israeli tourist Amnon Ohana, and in the same statement expressed sympathy for Palestinians. (Mob assaults on tourists seems to be a thing this week in Belgium)  Do you see the problem? It's the same when politicians can't seem to call out antisemitism without also mentioning islamophobia.
