In a recent interview on Charlie Rose, Sergey Lavrov, foreign minister of Russia, indicated that resolution of the Palestinian/Israeli conflict might have a positive affect on conflicts in the region, despite agreeing that the current Arab Spring/Autumn has nothing to do with it. Claims that peace is possible are hard for me to figure. Just look at the palwatch.org website for details.

If Muslims declare that they will react violently to something, that thing can now be treated as inciting and provoking violence. Muslim violence, once again, becomes the determinant of what can and cannot be said in this country.
