From JTA: Belgium soldiers guarding Jewish institutions had no bullets for their guns. Belgium’s counterterrorism abilities are limited by a constitutional ban on ethnic profiling and other laws, including a ban on home searches between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. On Sunday, violence broke out at Place de la Bourse (link to Le Soir) when police dispursed a crowd chanting slogans against arabs in front of the stock exchange, some members of the group were seen making Nazi salutes, confronting ethnic minorities, and throwing flares.

Yet, his admission apparently received no coverage by the mainstream U.S. news media.

Syria
In Syria and Iraq, the Islamic State Is In Retreat on Multiple Fronts - Liz Sly (Washington Post) Plans for an operation to capture Raqqa, the de facto capital of the Islamic State's caliphate in Syria, are on hold because of tensions between Kurds and Arabs over who would participate and how to govern the city after it has been taken. Likewise, preparations for an offensive for Mosul, the biggest Iraqi city under Islamic State control, are being held up by disputes over who should take part and how to govern the city.
