115 Hostages Still in Captivity
Hostages Update:
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet recovered the bodies of five hostages—Maya Goren, 56; Master Sgt. (Res.) Oren Goldin, 33; Staff Sgt. Tomer Ahimas, 20; Warrant Officer (Res.) Ravid Katz, 51; and Sgt. Kiril Brodski, 19—during a military operation in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday. Their bodies were hidden in a tunnel shaft 20 meters underground. The tunnel was in an area designated as a "humanitarian zone."Two more hostages confirmed dead, murdered in Hamas captivity after they were abducted from Kibbutz Nirim on October 7, 2023: Yagev Buchshtab and Alex Dancyg. This is just 1 of many Hamas misfires; no one knows how many are dead as the result of these misfires (nor how many Israelis would be dead had they been successful).
