Day 370 Hostages Update: 101 remain. On Tuesday, the mastermind behind the Oct 7 Hamas massacre and taking of hostages, Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar, contacted Qatari mediators to inquire about receiving immunity in a ceasefire and hostages deal.

CANADA
Some happy news to start the new year: The IDF has rescued a Yazidi girl held as a sex slave in Gaza for the past ten years and returned her to her family. Steve Maman, a Canadian businessman and founder of The Liberation of Christian and Yazidi Children of Iraq or CYCI foundation, sometimes referred to as "the Jewish Schindler" for his efforts to help Yazidis escape ISIS, was key in brokering this deal. 

CHINA
Iran is selling oil to China to fund its terror machine. China continues to defy U.S. Treasury sanctions by allowing blacklisted vessels to offload illicit cargo. Iran is selling $50 billion of oil each year to fund terrorist groups that are attacking Americans and Israelis. Sanctions under the SHIP Act targeting ports and refineries that knowingly process Iranian oil go into effect later this month.

THE CZECH REPUBLIC
The Czech Republic has blocked a joint European Union statement calling for an immediate ceasefire in Lebanon and condemning Israel over the number of civilians killed there. The Czechs were ready to support the statement on two conditions:
1️⃣ It demand Hezbollah withdraw from the Israeli border 
2️⃣ It acknowledge Israel's right to defend itself. Other EU powers weren't ready to include those two changes.

FRANCE
2 days before the anniversary of October 7th, French President Emmanuel Macron called for a end arms deliveries to Israel, despite Hamas murdering 42 French citizens on October 7th and continuing to hold 2 hostage. It turns out French President Macron never actually delivered any arms to Israel. France hasn’t supplied arms to Israel in 57 years, but they do in in fact supply Qatar with them.
